B’z New Album “C’mon” 7/27 Out & LIVE-GYM 2011 Members

Posted on June 13, 2011 by Tobias in News

Word was out early this time, as we already knew that B'z new album was called "C'mon" and would be out in July, so we were just waiting for B'z Official Website to get updated today! I proudly present B'z new album 「C'mon」! It'll be out July 27th, and feature 13 tracks with Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo, Homebound, Don't Wanna Lie and ultra soul 2011 among them. I'm hugely disappointed by the limited edition: The CD+DVD version will come with the music videos of Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo, Don't Wanna Lie and the new track C'mon.

In other words, all the people who bought the CD+DVD version of B'z past two singles, will have nothing but the music video of C'mon as an extra. Who came up with such a crappy idea?
Limited as well as regular editions will include a card with which you can enter a lottery to win tickets for a special B'z live in September. (see below)

B'z new song C'mon, which is also the title of the new album, will be the new PEPSI NEX commercial song starting from July. B'z will likely also be featured in the commercial. In addition to that, PEPSI NEX' summer campaign gives you the chance to win 2 tickets for a special B'z performance called "PEPSI NEX presents B'z 1DAY LIVE" at Shibuya AX on September 28th.

On to other news: the support members for the North American, as well as the Japanese tour have been announced! Also, the Japanese tour is called B'z LIVE-GYM 2011 -C'mon-.

Keyboards: Takanobu Masuda
Drums: Shane Gaalaas

New Album Coming in November?!

Posted on August 25, 2009 by Tobias in News

So yeah, it has been quite a while again. I'm finally done with work, and now I'm just waiting for university to start (Oct. 5). :)
Really pumped for it.

There have been some rumors about B'z lately. With "PRAY" officially announced(also available for download as ringtone as of 8/24) as a theme song for a movie, and a new song(the title is "My Lonely Town", by the way) that has been played at SHOWCASE 2009 and Summer Sonic 2009, fans speculate whether a new album is going to be released in the near future, or not. I'm guessing B'z still has got a few songs up their sleeves they can produce an album with.

The other day, I got some inside info from a friend, who read an interesting post by a B'z fan somewhere on the internet. That fan claimed he was eavesdropping on the SHOWCASE 2009 staff, and apparently heard that the new album is scheduled for November. The LIVE-GYM is to follow early 2010.

I, myself, have been speculating about an album release due end of the year, so this could only confirm my prediction. It would really make sense, since they didn't announce another single with PRAY(which was the case with "Eien no Tsubasa", though). On the other hand, the release window could've been too tight to release another single shortly after "Ichibu to Zenbu/DIVE" was released, since we're talking about September. As a single has not been announced, it is highly likely, that the song will hit the movie's official soundtrack CD.

This is still all rumors and speculation, but what is your take on it?  What do you think?

Tak’s music on new Stevie Salas album

Posted on May 22, 2009 by Tobias in News, Stevie Salas Related

According to a news update on Stevie Salas' Official Website, Tak Matsumoto(among others) is participating in Stevie Salas' new album "Set it on blast".

I was recording my brand new cd called 'set it on blast' right up to 1 hour before I got on the plane to europe to start this tour... Talk about tight!!! This cd is well funky with brian tichy, matt sorum, tm stevens, steve faronne, joey heredia, dorian heartsong, jara slapbak, bernard fowler, dan rothchild, gandhi, tak matsamoto from the bz japan and a few other cool friends.

This is not unusual as Koshi Inaba has been recording some songs with Stevie Salas in the past, too. For example the English version of "Shoumen Shototsu" called "Head on Collision" which is featured on Stevie Salas' album "Be What It Is"(Amazon.com). Furthermore, Koshi Inaba is featured in Stevie Salas' essential collection called "the sun and the earth"(Amazon.com). There, he plays the harp on the song "Pumpin' It Up".

There has been no word on an overseas release date, but the album will be released in Japan on July 15th, 2009.

If you wanna grab a copy, you can pre-order it here:
