B’z to Provide Theme Song “The IIIRD Eye” to Upcoming Lupin III Movie
News The band has announced that they are going to supply the theme song “The IIIRD Eye” to the upcoming Lupin III movie titled “LUPIN THE IIIRD THE MOVIE fujimi no ketsuzoku” (immortal bloodline). The movie will release in Japanese theatres on June 27, 2025. At the same time a teaser trailer featuring the song was posted to YouTube. Check it out below!

“I am honored and very happy to be in charge of the music for Lupin III, which I have watched since I was a child. I started working on the music as soon as I received the offer.
When I received the offer, the keyword “JAZZY” came to mind first.
The mixture of B’z rock, jazz and a fabulous horn section made for an interesting piece.
I have enjoyed watching Lupin III every week since the first TV anime aired in 1971.
It was a mature work that was different from other animations of the time with its gory action plus Fujiko Mine’s sexiness.
My favorite characters are Lupin, Dougo, Goemon, Inspector Zenigata, everyone is my favorite. But I think Fujiko Mine is really my favorite. The ending song, “Walther P38,” makes me feel the melancholy and it’s still cool even now.”
