B’z Whereabouts After Great Tohoku Earthquake
News As you probably know, last friday, 14:46 local time, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake hit Northern Japan and caused major destruction resulting in the death of at least 1700 people. Right now, Japan is facing another problem as nuclear power plants Fukushima 1 and 2 have been damaged by the aftershocks and tsunamis that hit the coast in Japan and lost cooling function. Hopefully they will be able to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. The last time Japan has experienced a huge earthquake was the Great Hanshin Earthquake in 1995. B’z Management has issued a statement that all B’z members are fine and unhurt. (via B’z Official Website as well as B’z PARTY Official Website)

“Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo” On Air
News
Starting today, B’z new song “Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo” will be broadcasted by radio stations throughout Japan. People in Japan can also download the chaku-uta version of the song to use it as a ringtone for their mobile phone. The single is going to be released on March 30th, 2011.
Additional Info About “Don’t Wanna Lie”
News News has finally reached official channels as B’z Official Website and Conan-Movie.jp have been updated to report that B’z will indeed serve the theme song for Detective Conan’s 15th theatrial movie called “A Quarter of Silence”. But that is not all: The very same song is going to be the new opening to the anime series as well. Starting April 30th, the song will be the opening theme to Detective Conan on TV.
A release date has yet to be determined, but considering it is going to make an appearance on TV as well, I say we can expect further news in April.
Oh and don’t miss the chance to check out the theatrical trailer which features a small part of “Don’t Wanna Lie”. Just head over to www.conan-movie.jp, click on “Trailer” and select the first one at the top.

Masuda was also involved in the recording for various B’z songs: DIVE, STARDUST TRAIN, ONE, Pleasure ’98, SLAVE TO THE NIGHT, and many many more. He has received a lot of messages from fans, old friends and young musicians. “[…] I am very happy today […]” he writes on his blog. He also received a special gift from two very special people: Tak Matsumoto and Koshi Inaba.
He posted a picture on his blog:

Charts: ~en II~, TAKE YOUR PICK
News Last week, as we know, Koshi Inaba LIVE 2010 -enII- was released.
With not-so-much-surprise, it reached #1 on Oricon on dvd and blu ray charts, with 27.000 and 21.000 copies sold respectively.
Oricon also notes he’s the first male solo artist to reach #1 on both charts, just like B’z were the first group to achieve this last August.
Due to the Grammy effect, Take your pick re-entered the Oricon chart, reaching #18. The album even made it up to #4 on the daily album chart for a short period of time. Last week this album was off the top 300, so it’s definitely a good result for them.

Details About Pepsi Nex CM
News There are a few facts that have been left out in the previous post. It is actually B’z first appearance on a TV commercial. They will perform their song “Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo” throughout the commercial which is shot in the wilderness. The two will be accompanied by model Leyna Kagami. (actually her name is “Reina” not “Leyna”, but Japanese can choose their English names…)
Now that Pepsi’s site has also been updated, you can watch the making of the commercial there. You will be able to hear more parts of the song – with singing, too. I have it right here for your convenience:
