Will “BURN” Become the 41st Consecutive No.1 Single?
News With BURN -Fumetsu no Face- coming out next week, everyone’s wondering if it has the power to give B’z their 41st consecutive No.1 single on the Japanese Oricon charts. Oricon themselves recently conducted a survey of the band’s popularity in general and among specific age groups.
Check out their findings below!

B’z New Single “BURN -Fumetsu no Face-” 4-16-08 OUT!
News This is the first single to be released by the band in 2008. The A-side of the single is featured in a commercial for the cosmetics company KOSÉ. “Fumetsu no Face” means “Invincible Face” or “Immortal Face,” whereas the latter would more appropriately suit the commercial for the product.
Unfortunately, there is no limited edition planned for the single, though it would have been nice. (more…)
OFF THE LOCK Project Update
Site News Welcome to OFF THE LOCK.
This project has suffered from a few major set-backs and, as such, never came to fruition until now. I decided to put up a blog so that we can post updates on OFF THE LOCK itself, and of course, about everyone’s favorite band: B’z.
If you don’t know about OFF THE LOCK, please check out the “About” page.
Right now, the blog is using the standard theme, but I will change stuff soon as I get used to WordPress. So stay tuned!
Be sure to check out this blog regularly! 😛
Yours truly,
Arthuro

ACTION Album Review (12-05-07) by Jd-
News There are consummate expectations for any major release anymore—music or otherwise. This is multiplied significantly for historical bands with a reputation for unmatched quality. Anything less than momentous can unduly impair the aforementioned expectations and damage the band’s credibility forever. Luckily, the sixteenth studio album release from Tak Matsumoto and Koshi Inaba optimistically meets and exceeds all expectations.
ACTION is a charming package overall and has a sentimental value to it with it being the album to precede the overwhelming ”B’z 20” campaign. The almost indefinable quality of the album seems to be that each of the songs are so well constructed that each and every one simply demands your attention. No matter what playlist you add the songs from this album to, you’ll be drawn to them immediately.
It seems only fitting that ACTION would be released just before the 20th anniversary campaign, given that each track is reminiscent of the olden days of classic, rhythmic rock—a tone you’ll very rarely find in modern music. It should come as no surprise to see the catalyzing effect each quality track has on the record. Any listener even remotely familiar with B’z will immediately find themselves right at home.
